ASHRAE Foundation/ Database Coordinator ASHRAE seeks an experienced Foundation/ Database Coordinator to team with the Foundation Director of Development in the development and implementation of the day-to-day operation of the Foundation’s activities. Candidates must be experienced in working with volunteers and donors in the development/fundraising arena. Responsibilities include: assisting with the development and maintenance of volunteer committees, donor records, recognition programs and cultivation and retention of both individual and corporate donors with an emphasis on major and planned gifts. Candidates must demonstrate ability to effectively interact with volunteer leadership, corporate representatives, and individual donors; and should be highly team oriented. The position requires three years of fundraising administration or comparable marketing or sales experience, a high level of computer literacy, a 4-year college degree, and experience working with The Raiser’s Edge or a comparable fundraising database preferred. The candidate must be organized, with highly professional oral and written communication skills. Person must be a creative self-starter with initiative, and desire to grow a new program. EOE Assistant Manager of Special Projects (Reports to Manager of Special Projects) ASHRAE, an international engineering society, seeks an Assistant Manager to facilitate projects with volunteers and outside organizations such as DOE, EPA, and GSA. This position maintains committee rosters and coordinates projects with Special Project Committees, provides support for committees including minute taking and report writing, develops and tracks project budgets in coordination with committee chairs, and supervises any outside contractors/subcontractors associated with various projects. The Asst. Manager is responsible for coordinating with ASHRAE publications staff for the production of various materials and project information for the website. The Asst. Manager will develop and maintain ongoing communication with technical staff at federal and/or state funding agencies. Interaction is necessary with USGBC, IESNA, AIA and other partnering organizations to plan and expedite the special projects assigned. Requirements include: B.S. in engineering or similar technical degree and at least 5 years experience minimum including some project management experience. Must have excellent communication skills and experience in editing technical documents. Some travel is required, estimated at 6-10 trips per year. This position will have primary administrative support responsibilities for the annual ASHRAE webcast. Will gather, compile, analyze, and report information to/for department. Will prepare drafts and proof finished documents for proper grammar usage and style. Other duties include: scheduling meetings and conference calls; and preparing purchase orders, requests for expense reimbursement, meeting agendas, spreadsheets, reports, presentations, nominations, reports, and other documents using Microsoft software. A thorough and demonstrated knowledge of a variety of software programs is necessary. Must have professional etiquette and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work schedule will vary between 20-25 hours per week depending on department priorities.
